SUM OF £902 OUTSTANDING. The amount of rates now outstanding in the Borough of Ashburton shows an improvement on the position at the corresponding date last year, though the fact that the total levied is smaller must be taken into consideration. Of a total of £10,073 19$ 9d struck for the current rating year/ £902 3s Id remains unpaid, compared with £1033 3s 7d out of a total of £10,216 7s 2d last year. The rates outstanding will incur a penalty of 10 per cent.
