Patiala in their first innings made 352 (Baqajilana 59, Yuvraj 29). Alexander took five wickets for 64 runs, Macartney two for 48, and Frank Tarrant two for 70. Tarrant’s eleven in the first innings scored 266 for one (Wendell Bill, retired hurt, 118, Love 46, Morrisby not out 70, Ryder not out 24). ,
