HONEYMOON LINER.

CUPID WILL GO TO SEA. QUEEN.MARY'S FIRST VOYAGE. When Britain's new giant liner, the Queen Mary, sails on her maiden voyage next May, she will be known as the "Honeymoon Ship." The Cunard-AVhite Star Company lias already been inundated with inquiries for her precise sailing date. And many of these inquiries came from young engaged couples who declared their intentions of spending their honeymoons at sea—on the Queen Mary. These couples are refusing to decide upon their wedding day until they know the sailing date. Many of them haye already booked passages to make certain of their accommodation. In due course, the wedding will be arranged ... in accordance with the Guna»rd-White Star sailing schedule! "'lt is already being realised," an official of the company revealed, "that the Queen Mary is going to be the world's ideal holiday liner. There is no ship afloat with such enormous deck space for sports and games. There is no ship afloat, in which such elaborate arrangements have been provided for enjoyment.

"Tourists are also realising that the great speed of the Queen Mary gives them additional time ashore in the United States or in Britain, as the case may be." - • What will lie the most lavishlyequipped and best-designed swimming bath afloat has now taken shape on the Queen Mary. Its artistic sky blue marble columns etched out in gilt lines and brilliantly coloured enamelling have now been placed in position. Once they are aboard the honeymoon couples will discover that they are provided with as many forms of amusements as if they were on land. They will have the choice of bathing in the Queen Mary's own Lido, lazing in her open-air gardens or taking long walks round her vast decks. Or they can see a film together, telephone their friends in any pari of the world, dance together in one of the great ballrooms or listen to music from the ship's bands. It is not surprising, therefore, that young people are looking upon this as the most romantic of all ways of spending a honeymoon. The Queen Mary will carry 2o'oo passengers and more than this number have already applied for berths. Hundreds have, been attracted by the fact that the fares will be little higher than those prevailing for the other CunardWhite Star liners.

Perhaps the most unique party on board will' be a party of eight young people, all of whom will be on their honeymoon. They are friends who some little while ago, arranged to get married on the same day. Now they have agreed to spend their honeymoon, together, too—on the Queen Mary.
