PHYSICAL CULTURE.
THE YOUTH OF BRITAIN,
EDUCATION BOARD'S PLAN
(United Press Association— LONDON, January 14.
. The Board of Education has issued a circular, with the object of assisting local authorities and others in framing a comprehensive plan of physical education, suited to the needs of the various areas. >
The Board regards it as a matter of national importance that more consideration of facilities for physical training and games among young people who have left school, hut states that any limitation of the centralised methods in use in some Continental countries would be altogether inappropriate. Each area must build up an organisation best fitted for its own local circumstances.
The main directions in which the present system calls for improvement and expansion as set out in the circular, include the appointment in every area of an adequate number of men and women organisers to advise and co-ordinate the development of the provision of physical activities for school children and young people generally.—British Official Wireless.
