PUBLICITY IN WOOL.

EMPIRE ACTION ADVOCATED. LEVY ON DOMINION EXPORTS. (United Press Association—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, January 14. Lord Barnby (managing director of Francis Willey and Co., the Bradford wool firm), who recently visited New Zealand, states that he is more than ever convinced that unless an Empirewide publicity campaign for wool is undertaken, Australia will suffer seriously. He suggested that the imposition of a levy on every bale exported by the Dominion Governments would be the only effective action. A committee should be appointed to control the funds thus created, and it should be independent of Government appointment and not subject to political interference.
