DAMAGED BY FIRE.

HOUSES !N WELLINGTON. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, January 3. Outbreaks of fire occurred in three houses yesterday afternoon and last night. In each case the occupiers were absent. Extensive damage was done to the first house, in Kelburn, but the other two fires were extinguished, damage being confined to one room. Both these houses were at Island Bay and in one case fire - was discovered on December 27, but the services of the fire brigade were not required then.
