BUSY MINISTER.
PROBLEMS FOR MR EDEN. (United Press Association— Copyright.) LONDON, January 2. The Foreign Secretary (Mr R. A. Eden), who lias been spending a lew days in the North of England, has returned to the Foreign Office. On taking up the duties of his new office with undivided responsibility for the work of his department, many questions will claim the specific attention of the Minister, apart from the several major issues with which he has been associated for some time past as Minister tor League Affairs. Among the most important of these, which lie already had under consideration, ancl which will now be subject to closer study, is the request by the Egyptian party leaders forming the United Front for a resumption of discussions with a view to placing An-glo-Egyptian relations on a more definite basis. According to present arrangements, the Foreign Secretary will attend the next meeting of the council of the league on January 20. The agenda includes the dispute between Italy and Ethiopia, questions concerning the free city of Danzig, and among tho usual crowd of technical questions, the report of the non-governmental experts on the treatment of refugees.—British Official Wirl ess.
