TOTAL OF 1774 HOURS 50 MINUTES LARGE AMOUNT IN DECEMBER. There was 1774 hours 50 minutes sunshine in Ashburton during 1935, compared with 1720 hours 57 minutes in 1934. The total of 238 hours 3 minutes in December was the highest for any one month, and June was the only month in which the sun did not shine for more than 100 hours.
