The Hon. F. Jones (PostmasterGeneral) and Minister of Defence) was a passenger on the south-hound express this morning.
Mr Oliver Duff, manager-editor of the “North Canterbury Gazette,” Rangiora, visited Ashburton tc-day.
A cablegram from London states that Sir James Parr was among the guests at the marriage of Major A. B. Knight, elder son of Sir Wyndham and Lady Knight, and Beatrice Anna, elder daughter of the late Air Alatthew and Airs Holmes, of AVellington.
Ashburton students successful in the University of New Zealand LL.B. examinations, results of which were announced yesterday, were: Al. Heenan (section LL.B.), Law of Property, Law of Contract; Alargaret It. Kennedy (final LL.B.), Company Law and Law of Bankruptcy, Law of Procedure.
