FIRE AT LEVIN
POWER aoann's era-RE BURNED. LOSS OF ALL THE CONTENTS. (Per Press Association). ' IJEVIN, This Day. A disastrous fire occurred here just before 1 o’clock this morning, when the Horowhenua Electric Power Board’s store was destroyed. The origin of the fire is not known. ‘ The fire assumedl a. dangerous as pect, but a 40—minute fight by the brigade, aided. ~by the absence of wind, confined the fire to the store. Transformers, ranges, tools and stock were destroyed. Nothing could be removed from the store, though the cars and trucks were brought out as a precautionary measure. ' The insurance on [the building is £IOOO, and 01} the stock £ISOO.
