CALCTUTTA, November 14. :Mr Frank Tarrant’s Australian cricket team won the two-day match against Gujarat, at Ahmadabad, by an innings and 86 runs. Gujarat in the first innings made 121 (Joshi 27, Hans 36, Desai 21). Mair took three wickets for 29 runs, Ryder four for 14, and Imnmonger one for 26. ' _ Australia in the first innings‘ scored 300 for four wickets (declared). Morrisby scored 90, Ryder 139. not out, Love 22 and Allsopp 33. Morrisby, who was run out, gave a delightful exhibition of cutting and driving. He hit 10 fours. Ryder’s innings was chanceless until he passed the century, and then he was dropped twice in succession. He hit 13 fours and two sixes. Gujarat in the second,i'nnjngs scored 93. Leather took four wickets for 11, and Mair four for 36. The Australians are getting it wonderful reception. Fifteen thousand people. were present to-day. The heat has not abated. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY.
