DECISIONS OF THE COMMITTEE.
REVISION OF THE SCHEDULE.
The monthly meeting of the committee of the Methven Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held on Monday evening. There were present the president (Mr G. Kelly) and Messrs G. Callaghan, R. F. Smith, B. J. Stiffens, £>. Campbell, W. C. Lowery, W. E. Hampson, E. St. C. Haydon, R. Dart, J. McDonald, J. Wootton, A. Geddes. C. C. Winn, G. Geddes, W. K. Wilson, C. H. Watson, S, Hampton. L. L. Richards, T. S. McDonald, R. J. Low, S. H. Anderson and A. Goodwin,
The Ashburton Association advised that the annual district competition in export lambs would be held on Thursday, December 5, at the Fairfield Freezing Works. The Clydesdale Horse Society advised that it would donate a silver medal for competition at the annual show, conditions to be those of last year. Mr A. Geddes x-eported that he had attended the meeting of the Health Camp Campaign and it had been decided to make a personal canvass of the district and if possible to establish camps at suitable centres. Mr E. Goss advised that he would donate a trophy of one guinea for the pig section of the show. The donor was accorded a vote of thanks. Messrs Wootton (convener), Dart, Smith. Wilson and S. Hampton were appointed a side-show sub-committee. The tender of Mr E. G. Shipley to supply a loud-speaker system on show date was accepted. Mr M. J. Duff was appointed caretaker of. the Association’s hall.
The reports of the various sub-com-mittees appointed to aevise the schedule were received, and the various alterations were agreed to.
