TRANSPORT ACT

“BENEFIT INCONTROVERTIBLE,” (Per Press Association). NELSON, November 5. The chairman of No. 7 Transport Licensing Authority, Dr. S. A. Gibbs, in a statement, said the benefit of the Transport Act to the public and road service operators was incontrovertible. The amounting costs of transport' had been greatly reduced but were still one sided as only road services had been dealt with. The full value of the Act would not be realised until all forms of transport, road, rail, air and sea/ were included and, without undue* favouritism, the State owned railways and other services.
