ALLEGED MURDERS

THE CASE AGAINST RUXTON. WIFE AMONG THE VICTIMS. (United Press Association—Copyrighti (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, November 5. In connection, with" the Moffat Ravine mystery at Gavdenliolm, Dum-fries-shire, Dr. Buck Ruxton, of Lancaster, lias been further charged with the murder of liis wife, Isabel, agedi 35. , , His nursemaid, May Jane Rogerson, aged 20, lias been identified as one of the victims. Ruxton was remanded after an angry outburst in which he declared: “My religion would not allow, me to do it.” A London message dated October 1 stated: A search‘that ended only with dusk resulted in the discovery in a ravine of 30 newspaper parcels containing portions of two bodies. Other parcels, apparently scattered from a motor-car, were subsequently found. The doctors report that the parts recovered indicate that the remains are those of a man between 55 and 60, and a woman, aged about 30, so mutilated that identification is almost impossible. The man’s fingers were cut off at the knuckles, and the ears of both victims were severed. The skin of the woman’s torso and of the man’s face were removed with a sharp instrument resembling a scalpel. The male remains are more decomposed tnan the female. The absence of clues recalls the Brghton trunk crime No. 1. Even the manner of death cannot be discovered. (Doctors are of opinion that the mutilations were the work of a madman.
