MOTOR-CAR DAMAGED

SKID IN LOOSE SHINGLE. VEHICLE STRIKES A POLE. After skidding in the shingle on_ the side of the Winchmore Road on Friday night, a small motor-car, owned and driven by Mr J. F. Rooney, struck a pole near the fence line and was extensively damaged. It is said that the skid was due to a mound of loose shingle near the side of the road. Mr Rconey escaped injury.
