SUPREME COURT

OFFENCES AT CHRISTCHURCH. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, October 4. In the Supreme Court to-day MiJustice Northcroft sentenced Keith Rodney Minson to six months’ imprisonment for the theft of a motorcar. The class of offence was a serious one, said his Honor, and prisoner had shown considerable criminal ingenuity in maintaining the fruits of his crime.

Lucienne Marie Charlotte Coiett, aged 21, was admitted to probation for a year on a charge of forging a Post Office withdrawal slip for £SO. Mr Justice Northcroft accepted her explanation that the offep.ee had been committed under the influence of a. young man whom she trusted.
