STILL NO TRACE
THE MISSING TRAMPER.
(Per Press Association). WANGANUI, This Day.
The search for tho missing tramper, Mr 111 Fyson, is being concentrated to-day over a wide area to-day, in which many settlers are assisting. So far there has been no sign of Mr Fyson. A ’plane went out early and searched the area in the vicinity of the Waitotara River, thence across country to the Wanganui River, without result.
BELIEVED TO BE DROWNED.
KIT FOUND ON BANK OF STREAM
"WANGANUI, This Day. The contents of a, tramper’s kit were found spread .out on banks of Kai-.wi stream, about 100 yards from the Tokoniaru West Road, Brunswick. It is believed they are belongings of Mr Fyson. A billy was found overturned near the water’s edge, and the remains of a lire indicate tlisgb the missing tramper must have been in the act oi preparing a meal when he disappeared from that locality. It is feared he fell into the stream, and was drowned. Dragging was commenced this afternoon. , , The discovery was made as the result of a search instituted by Messrs W. and B. Ross along the banks or the Kai-iwi stream early this morning.
