DESTROYERS SENT TO SWATOW

A Tokio correspondent of "The Times” says that Japan has sent seven destroyers to Swatow to protect Japanese who are refusing to pay taxes, on the ground that their imposition was arbitrary; The Japanese also demand that the authorities refrain from illegalities against the Japanese, including imprisonment or distraining of possessions owing to non-payment of taxes.
