MEETING in ASHBURTON. A meeting of the Ashburton branch of the New Zealand Crown Tenants Association was held yesterday, when Mr J. H. Wightman reported on the recent meeting of the (Dominion executive of the association. Mr IVightman urged that all branches should press for a revaluation of all Crown lands, and also that some arrangements be made for arrears oi rates. . ~ „ It was decided to write to the Dominion requesting that it make continued efforts to obtain a revaluation of Crown lands. It was agreed to protest against discharged soldier settlers being merged with the Mortgage Corporation. The secretary (Mr IV. H. Amos) was rGQiiGstcd to write to tlio seeiet&ty of the New Zealand I>airy Board asking that its London manager, Mr H. E. Davis, give an address to farmers at Ashburton.
