At the avool sales 10,627 bales AA’ere offered, including 5738 Nc-av Zealand, and about 9325 Australian and New Zealand were sold. There Avas a strong general competition, Avith prices shelving a hardening tendency. NeAV Zealand greasy crossbred ECS sold up to lOd, Avith an average of B|d.

HIGH PRICE FOR A PIG.
BOUGHT FOR AUSTRALIA. (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, Sept. 25. At the annual sale of the Mountley pedigree pig stud, the property of Mr A. T. Rogers, of Ngarunwahia, at Claudelands to-day, a pedigree Tamworth sow was purchased on behalf of an Australian buyer of Gregory, New South Wales, for 55 guineas. This is said to bo one of the highest prices paid for a pig at any similar sale in the Dominion.
