LABOUR RESIGNATIONS

The national executive of the Labour party met in London to-day, andi is understood to have considered the resignations of Lord Ponsonby from the leadership of the party in the House of Lords, and of Sir Stafford Cripps from the National Executive itself, on grounds of disagreement with the attitude of the party in giving whole-hearted support to a policy based on the covenant of the League of Nations. It decided to accept the resignation of Sir Stafford Cripps with regret that he “had found himself at variance with the declared policy of the Labour party.”—British Official "Wireless.
