NETWORK IN BRITAIN.

. The progress of internal aviation in Britain in the last few years is illustrated l>y plans for extensions of the ground) organisation in the south and the north. In the Isle of Wight, which already possesses live aerodromes, it is proposed to construct a landing ground near Freshwater, on the west side of the island. Last year about 60,000 visitors arrived from the mainland by air. A ciyil aerodrome is under construction at Perth, f which is expected to become an important junction for services to the north of Scotland and for those linking Edinburgh and Glasgow with London and the south. The Post Office announces that, commencing on September 24, the Tuesday air mail service to India, which now terminates at Calcutta, will be extended to Singapore, and as from that date there will be two air mail dispatches weekly to Malaya, Siam, North Borneo, the Philippines and Sarawak. —British Official Wireless.
