The ketch Alma Doepel has arrived at Sydney with a cargo of timber and merchandise from Hobart, the voyage having cccnipiedi 1G days. The vessel left Hobart whom it appeared that the recent shipping strike would Ik> protracted.
During the trip the entire crew was stricken with influenza and the captain was forced to make for the nearest shelter. There the ship lay for six days until a sufficient number of the crew had recovered to continue the voyage.
