ENTERTAINMENTS.

MAJESTIC THEATRE “Three-Cornered Moon” showing finally to-night at the Majestic Theatre, concerns the members of the Rimplegar family. Their antics, when in their irresponsible way, they try to adapt themslves toi a “new” way of living, because all their fortune was lost in the depression, furnish an hour of hearty laughs and excellent screen entertainment. Following a warm reception from trade press critics, the English national press bestowed the most enthusiastic praise on the production, adjudging it the “film of the year.” The “Ramplegars” are voted by the “Evening News” (London), the “most joyous comedy creation for remarkably good film. It is so smoothly done that you will forget the talent behind the effort. Claudette Colbert deserves a paragraph to herself.” Also on the programme is the screen version of Zane' Grey’s “Rock Mountain Mystery.” SOCIAL EVENING AT HAMPSTEAD In aid of the Hampstead (now Ashburton East) School jubilee fund, a very successful social evening was held in the Hampstead Hall last evening.
