Mr A. F. Stewart, of the Gore staff of the Bank of Australasia, arrived in Ashburton last evening to replace Mr N. R. Milsom at the Ashburton branch. Mr Milsom will leave on transfer toGore tor-morrow.

A Press Association telegram from Christchurch states that presentations from the Wheat Purchase Board and from the staff were made yesterday to Mr G. W. Clinkard, who has been chairman of the board since its inception. Mr L. J. Schmidt (the new chairman of the board) was present. The board carried a resolution congratulating Mr Clinkard on his new appointment as New Zealand: Trade Commissioner in Europe, and recording its high appreciation of his services.
