COVERNOR FORCED OUT OF OFFICE. (United Press Association— Copyright) MEXICO, July 23. A popular agrarian uprising forced Senor Manuel Lastra, Governor of the state of Tobasco, out of office, and threatened the position of Dr. Ralail Villareal (Governor of* Tamaulipas). The uprising is seen as a general cleaning out of governors to rid the country of the last traces ol the ppvei of General Calles, who was Mexico s strong man for eight years until he lost the political combat with President Cardenas a month ago.
