KILL ED IN STORM
FOUR PEOPLE IN NEW YORKLIGHTNING STRIKES SHELTER. (United Press Association—Copyright^ NEW YORK, July 20. The hottest Saturday afternoon this summer was broken by a freak electrical storm at 3 p.m._to-day, in which four persons were killed, and a score of others injured at. beaches and in the New York Metropolitan area. The temperature dropped, from 90 degrees. Fahrenheit to 6/ within a few minutes, and torrential rain sent several hundred thousand bathers scurrying for shelter and caused considerable traffic disorder. The four persons killed were sheltering under an iron roof, and one had just commented on the foolishness of people staying on the beach during the storm. A bolt of lightning toie through the structure, horribly burning and mutilating the bodies.
