PERSONAL.
The Rev. G. I. Laurenson (deputysuperintendent of the Home- Mission Department -of the New Zealand Methodist Church) will arrive in Ashburton to-morrow on annual deputation work. He will speak at a meeting to-morrow, evening and leave for Christchurch on Friday. Constable J. Best, who has been stationed at Ashburton for the last four years, has been notified of his transfer to Timaru, and he will leave in about a week’s time. Constable A. Abbott, of Timaru, will replace diim at .Ashburton.
