Ine top price for greasy was 16d, and for scoured 26Jd. * GOOD PROSPECTS IN LONDON. ’ LONDON, April 30. The wool-available for the sales that open on Wednesday, May -8, totals 166,000 bales, including new arrivals of Australian 21,400 bales, and New Zealand: 42,500 bales. It is expected that 166,000 bales will be catalogued. Prospects for the sale are generally regarded as favourable. It is expected that the firmness of the overseas markets will be reflected here. The Germans have been actively buying in South Africa and South America, and v it is expected they will operate in London.
