Coincidence played a remarkable part in the dives of John Barlow, aged 62, and his brother, Charles Barlow, aged 67. Their birthdays were on the same day and both followed the same trade. Early on Sunday night John died in , his sleep and a few hours later Charles also died in his sleep. A heart attack' following pleurisy was the cause qf death in both cases. ‘

A telegram conveying the sad news, sent by one family to the other, crossed in transit on Monday.

Yesterday the brothers were buried in the same, cemetery, the mourners attending both funerals.
