majestic THEATRE. “6 Day Bike Rider,” featuring JOe E Brown, will have its final screening at the Majestic Theatre to-night. Ihe picture is not only uproariously tunny, but presents some of the biggest thrills ever shown on the screen. The situations am most unusual and hilarious enough to shake the kids and grownups alike with laughter 1 here are also numerous gags and stunts that add to the merriment of the show, me thrills come in the big climax of the picture, an actual bicycle race in which there ijro spills a-plenty. KIA ORA CRICKET CLUB’S BALL. The Kia Ora Cricket Club is celebrating the winning of the junior competition of the- Ashburton Coun y Cricket Association by bolding a victory ball in His Majesty’s Theatre next Monday evening, at which the president of the Ashburton Association (Air F Pritchard) will present the Gala Cup Kia Ora is the only club which has won this trophy three times. In the last four seasons it has won tlie competition three times and was runner-up once. In spite of the loss of its captain (Mr B. T. Clothier), who has removed to: Wellington, the club will seriously consider entering a senior team next year.
