MEETING OF THE SOCIETY. JUDGES FOR. THE WINTER SHOW. A meeting of the general committee of the Ashburton Fanciers’ Society was held last evening, Mr G. H. Nicoll preSlC The following judges for the winter show were appointed: Potatoes, roots and vegetables, Alessrs G. and A. Clark; giam ao seeds, Air D. A. Lawson; cookery and preserves, Airs G. B. Murdoch; buttei, Mr E. Keig; needlework, Mrs O. VSmith; marquetry and artificial now ers, Airs E. Reynolds; school competitions,‘Mr J. Cook; photography AD E J Daniel: dogs, Air G. Biltchtt, working dogs, Air T. Drennan; poultry Air F. G. Hansen (Dunedin), pigeons, Dr. A. C. AlcKillop; canaries, Air R. W. Thompson; cats and rabbits, Air G. Radford. Several matters in-connection with the show were discussed, and will be considered again at later meetings. Owing to a few vacancies on the committee, it was decided to call a general meeting for the appointment of additional executive officers.
