MISUSE OF HALL.

ALLEGATION CAUSES UPROAR. (Per Presß Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 29. "I understand that a member of our association has been using the Jellicoe Hall for bookmaking," declared a member of the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association at tiie annual meeting to-night. "Ho has been warned by.a member of the executive and he has been prevented from using the telephone at the club, but he still loiters round."

The statement provoked an uproar, and the meeting wont into committee to discuss it.
