THE GROWTH OF MILITARISM. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, April 29. A motion was passed by the Labour Conference last week viewing with alarm the indications m Europe and elsewhere of the growth of a spirit of aggressive militarism and of intolerant and tyrannical dictatorship, threatening the existence of democracy; welcoming the entry of Russia into the League of Nations as an important step toward world peace; expressing pleasure at the apparent success of the mission of the British envoy, Mr Eden, to various European countries; and sending fraternal greetings to the Labour movement in all lands.
