THE ASHBURTON CLUB. A Canadian foursome was played by members of the Ashburton Golf Club on Monday afternoon. The winners were G. B. Williams and I. Gilchrist, who tied with J. Sinclair and H. A. Vezey, with a net score of 69. The best cards-were :

Anderson and E. A. Cbckroft were 5 down. In the Dominion Cup fixture Cockroft and Anderson were 1 down, and Freeth and Bonnington 5 down. The winners' card was 2 up.

THE WELLINGTON TITLE. J. P. HORNABROOK'S SUCCESS. WELLINGTON, April 23. The Wellington provincial golf championship was won by J. P. Hornabrook who beat S. M. Watson, 3-1, in the final. MANAWATU TOURNAMENT. PALMERSTON N., April 23. A. E. Ekstedt won the final of the Manawatu Easter golf tourney, defeating O. H. Williams 4-3. TARANAKI CHAMPIONSHIP. , NEW PLYMOUTH, April 23. D. V. Sutherland (Inglewood) to-day won the Taranaki amateur golf championship, defeating H. P. Dale (Eltham) 3 and 2 in the final. AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. AUCKLAND, April 23. The Auckland provincial golf championship was won by B. G. Thomson (Auckland), who in the final beat B. H. Menzies (Auckland), 2 up.
