The Oamaru Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was ojpened to-day in dull blit fine weather and in the presence of a large attendance. The sum of £6567 was handled under the single pool system, as against £7306, 12 months ago. Concluding results: — President's Handicap, of 150 sovs. One mile. —3 Guarantee 1, 1 Silver Streak 2, 4 Manetho 3. Won by a neck with third horse three lengths away. Time lmin 38 4-ssec. Windsor Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs Six furlongs—l Capital 1, 5 Silk Papei 2, 10 Brown Pearl 3. Won by two lengths same between second and third. Time lmin 18sec.
