OLDEST RESIDENT.

ALBERTLAND SETTLER. HIS 104TH BIRTHDAY. (Per Plress Association). AUCKLAND, March 18. Believed to be the oldest resident in New Zealand, Mr Thomas Inger, of Port Albert, will celebrate his 104th birthday to-morrow. Mr Inger lias lived in the Kaipara district for seventy-one years. He enjoys remarkably good health and still has clear recollections of the early days. He has eleven children and his descendants number nearly 100. Mr Inger was one of the leaders of Albertland Settlement and arrived in Auckland in 1862 by the ship Matilda Wattengach, which brought the first party of settlers from England.
