FINE AND MILD. The. sun shone in a blue sky with clouds to-day and conditions were mild with a light'northerly wind blowing. The Government Meteorologist, all noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather :-t General inference: Pressure is still high to the east of New Zealand, but rather low to the north and west. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Light to fresh east to northerly winds. Weather fair to cloudy with some scattered light rain. Seas smooth to moderate.
