PAYMENT OF RATES.

STATE DEPARTMENT'S ATTITUDE. CONCERN BY LOCAL BODIES. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. The chairman said: "We realise that there is little hope of recovering rates through the Department, but I think we should voice our opinion regarding the future."
