CROQUET.
THE CENTENARY TOURNAMENT. MELBOURNE, January 19. The Centenary croquet tournament opened to-day. Colonel du Pre (England), H. P. Stratton (N.Z.), and C. J. Miller and J. C. Windsor (Australia) played an exhibition game. Forty-four players have entered for the singles championship, which is virtually' the world's championship. There are 19 pairs in the doubles, which will begin on Monday.
