MAROONED BY FLOODS
A DANCE PARTY OF FIFTY. DAMAGE IN NEW SOUTH WALES. (United Press Association— Copyright) SYDNEY, October 26. The flood position in the western and southern districts of New South Wales is still very serious. Bathurst, Partes and Dubbo report that miles of country are submerged. A dance party of 50 people have been marooned at a small village outside Dubbo since Wednesday niglit, being unable to reach their homes. The Murrumbidgee River at Wagga is expected to overflow its banks at any minute, and the inhabitants have evacuated homes within the danger zone.. . „ Farm lands at Tumut , are under water, the people being rescued by boats. , Railway lines have been damaged and manv bridges washed away. Artillerymen camped at the Inderal capital were practically washed out. Mr C T. P. Ulm's 'plane Faith in Australia, which landed at Canberra yesterday, is hopelessly bogged. The River Molonglo, which runs through the capital, is at its highest level since the great flood of 1925.
