CARVED MAORI WARRIOR. (Per PreßS Association). AUCKLAND, June 3. The Governor-General (Baron Bledisloe) opened the new wing of the bt. John Ambulance station after the building had been dedicated by Archbishop ATerill. Instead of the traditional keT presented on such occasions, Lord Bledisloo recerved a miniature figure or a Maori warrior, beautifully carred from one niece of heart _ or kauri, standing about six inches high. The model used was ffiie fighting Maori seen on the new shilling pieces.
