' MAJESTIC THEATRE. “The Perfect Crime” has been the foundation of scores of detective and mystery stories. Several noyelits have invented means of committing a murder or a robbery which, in the pages of their hooks, defied detection. In the Columbia production, “Shadows ot Sing Sing,” showing at the Majestic Theatre tQ-night only, the “perfect crime is attempted —except that it is not entirely perfect—and the slip the criminal made leads to the gallows. In the production a man is murdered. His enemy is found in the room, Ins own smoking gun lying on the floor. His own fingerprints are on the weapon. He had sufficient reason to do the killing. Tho web of circumstances entangles him in an almost unescapable mesh —but lie is entirely innocent ot the murder. It looks like the “perfect” crime has at last been committed and that the guilty man will escape the clutches of the law. On Monday afternoon and evening the chief picture will he “Above tho Clouds,” a story of the adventures ot a newsreel cameraman.

CROQUET CLUB’S CARD PARTY. An enjoyable and most successful card evening was held by the AVairelta Croquet Club in Lewitt’s rooms on Thursday in aid of club funds. There was a good attendance, and the financial result was satisfactory. Prizes were won as follow: —-Bridge, All’s A. O. Cooper and Air E. Sherborne ; 500,■ Airs Black and All’ E. Coker.
