PURSUANT to Section 54 of “The Rating Act, 1925,’’ NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that this Council intends to make on FRIDAY, July Gth, 1934, for the period commencing April Ist, 1934, and ending March 31st, 1935, under the provisions of Section 120 and 121 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” and Section 51 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” a GENERAL RATE on the Capital Value of the rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the several Ridings of the County of Ashburton, viz. : Ashburton Riding, 5-16ths of a penny in the £; Mount Hutt Riding, 5-16ths of ‘a penny in the £ ; Mount Somers Riding,, 11-32nds of a penny in the £; Rangitata Riding (outlying portion), 7~l6tbs of a penny in the £; Rangitata Riding (Coldstream Road District Portion), 7-32nds of a penny ip the £; South Rakaia Riding, 4-16ths of a penny in the £ ; Upper Ashburton Riding, 5-I6ths'of a penny in the £; Wakanui Riding, 4-16ths of a penny in the £ ; payable in one sum at the Office of the Ashburton County Council, Baring Square, Ashburton, on the 14th day of July, 1934. The Valuation Rolls are open for inspection, without charge, during Office hours. NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN, under Section 54 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” that this Council intends to make on FRIDAY, July 6, 1934, for the period commencing April 1, 1934, and ending Match 31, 1835, under the provisions of Section 123 (2) of “The Counties Act, 1920,” a uniform ANNUAL CHARGE of one pound two shillings and sixpence per pan for nightsoil removal in the ALLENTON SANITARY AREA, payable in one sum at the Office of the Ashburton County Council, Baring Square, Ashburton, on the 14th day of July, 1934.
