THREE ASHBURTON SUCCESSES. ONE SECOND FOR SOUTH , ISLAND. Three Ashburton students are-'in-cluded in the list of South Island candidates in the University'entrance scholarship examination who qualified for University national bursaries. They are eligible to apply to the Education Department by February 12 for bursaries, tenable at a University College. Kathleen Harrow, of the Ashburton High School, with 1692 marks', was second for the South Island, a Timaru candidate topping- the list with 1/20 marks. « Margaret Biggar, also of the Ashburton IJlgh School, Avas fifth on the list with 1.680 marks. The third successful student' was Harold Baigent, of the Ashburton High Schools who occupied the seventyfourth place on the list with 1161 marks. • \
