CANADA’S BUDGET.
REDUCED VOTE FOR DEFENCE. (United Press Association—Copyright) OTTAWA, January 26. Estimates placed on the table of the House of Comm'ons renew the 118,000dollars subsidy for the Australian and Canadian shipping service, also 100,000 dollars subsidy for the New ZealandCanadian service. The naval grant is to be cut by 200,000 dollars. There is no restoration of the 10 per cent, cut in Civil Service wages and indemnities. of members of the House of Commons and Senators. The (Speech announced the creation of'a fund, generally set at 50,000,000 dollars, for a public building programme to check unemployment.
