The Home Secretary, Sir John Gilmour, in a circular letter to the cliaiimen of quarter sessions, in reference to possible measures for lessening the number of deaths and injuries by motoring accidents, invites the opinion of magistrates on the suggestion that driving licenses on first conviction, not only for reckless or dangerous driving, or for driving while drunk hut for careless ' driving and exceeding the speed limit.—British Official Wireless.
