FRONTIER DEFENCES.
STRENGTHENING IN BELGIUM. (United Press Association—Copyright), BRUSSELS, October 11. A Council of Ministers, at which the King presided, adopted plans entailing an expenditure of £6,500,000 for strengthening the frontier defences. It is believed the defences will consist of concrete pillboxes, protecting Namur and Liege and the approaches to the Meuse Valley.
