TO REMAIN ON GOLD.
THE FRENCH DETERMINED ARRANGING TRADE TREATIES (United Press Association—Copyright). PARIS, September 14. Senator Louis Sorre (Minister of Commerce) in an important speech proclaimed the Government's determination to remain on the gold standard. He said that a plan for the necessary budgetary adjustment to enable France to remain on gold was .then being prepared. He revealed the fact that commercial negotiations had already been begun for trade rapprochements with other gold standard countries.
