After describing the actions of Harold Bradlev Brownrigg as a "barefaced swindle," Mr Justice Herclman sentenced Brownrigg, who was found guilty of theft, to two years' hard labour. Prisoner was concerned with a company known as : 'Overseas Passages," and was found guilty on a charge of theft of £l7 from R. G. K. Manning by falsely representing that the company couid supply him with a passage to Englancl for £25.
